What they say about SmartPDT

SmartPDT is really helpful for having an unprecedented control on daylight therapy sessions: it allows our clinical team to easily monitor in real-time the effective solar radiation doses received by each patient individually with very high accuracy, ensuring the effectiveness of the treatment and the safety of the patient. SmartPDT system is a disruptive alternative to the traditional PDT treatments, also for enabling a totally home-based delivery of DL-PDT treatments reliably monitored remotely by clinicians.

Prof. Yolanda Gilaberte
University Hospital Miguel Servet, Zaragoza, Spain

The daylight PDT has many features to be the best choice in many cases: it does not have to be repeated every day by the patient, the inflammation and pain are minimal and the effectiveness is high. The main limit is the impossibility of establishing a correct dosimetry of sunlight, but this limit can be overcome by a smart digital dosimetry system based on an app that geolocates the patient and provides data in real time to the dermatologist.

Prof. Piergiacomo Calzavara-Pinton
University of Brescia, Italy

After treating patients with daylightPDT for the last 6 years and optimizing our protocol each spring using SmartPDT finally allows me to control the complete process. It’s not just altering the alcohol concentration or adding additional preparatory steps. I start to understand the interaction between sunscreen, photosensitizer and sun exposure in a new way. So it’s not just looking for sufficient weather conditions, it has become much more personalized to the benefit of my patients. They report more satisfaction and less side effects and feel more involved with their therapy by using the app.
